The product was fine. I was just fortunate that the store I was at had the color in stock (basic black) that I needed that day. This was a last minute need and would not have had time to order it on-line.

The pockets...
on September 13, 2012

I need a binder to hold choir music one that will not split along the spine. A weak or splitting spine requires extra energy to hold it during rehearsal and performance not to mention potential disaster on stage! For this reason I chose to replace my old binder with this one and the spine seems fine. My problem with it is that I need pockets inside the cover. I tried to put ONE piece of paper in the front one and it completely split out at the bottom. I tried the back one and the same thing happened. Superglue doesn't work on this plastic either. I bought a supplemental internal pocket but it really takes up too much space in the rings with all of my music in there. My advice: If you want pockets DON'T buy this binder. Another thing that you may like (or not): The edges are also rubberized. This makes it harder for me to slide the binder in and out of my music bag. However it helps keep the binder from sliding on a desk etc. Even though I am pleased with the rubberized spine I almost rated this with one star because I was so irked about the pockets.

Durable spine but weak ring assembly
on August 19, 2011

The rubber spine has proven to be very durable. The ring assembly however is far less substantial and results in premature failure of the binder. Another minor annoyance is that the front view window tends to tear easily.

My Favorite Binders By Far

I use these binders for documents that I need ready access to and that I handle frequently. The rubberized edges make handling the binder more comfortable by eliminating sharp edges. The plastic construction is more durable than traditional cardboard based binders. The rings open and close easily and always stay closed until you need to open them. The clear window on the front allows you to add a custom cover if desired. Different colors allow you to organize documents while grey trim gives all the binders a uniform look.
