Using these things for filling notes I need to pull out so I do appreciate that the inserts don't go over the cover. Additionally the label on the spine is a real nice touch.

Perfect for all. It's rugged easy to use and ideal for teachers and students. I use it for both and I like the durability of this binder because it will withstand being stuffed into a backpack fingers won't get pinched with its one touch easy open and it comes in many color choices. As a teacher I need durability and it holds up to my everyday use.

Binder width should be bigger. It is 1/4 inch less than standard size. If you are going to use sheet protectors the corners of your pages will be exposed. This binder is good for everyday use by school students but it is not good for presentation or storage of any valuable papers.
