Overall the binders are OK as they are durable one hand opening and cover modifiable. I just don't like the inside front cover pocket. It is too bulky and snags on papers. I liked the original version that just has the clear paper slip.

I am a student so my binders have to be able to withstand some pretty intense abuse; they get tossed around and shoved in and out of backpacks. They also double as pizza plates and drink coasters! I have yet to truly put these things through the wringer of a full semester of school but I think they will hold up just fine!

Although we were in search of a 1/2" binder my daughter loved the fact that she could personalize the white one easily! She will definitely have more than enough room for the whole school year to keep things neat and organized as well as personalized for her.
