I buy these for both business and personal documents when durability is an issue. In daily use they last me for well over a year. Most other designs break down or fall apart well before then. The key is the flexible rubber hinges that resist breaking down with the constant use and abuse they get from me. If you need something that will last and take abuse these are well worth the money. I make special trips to Staples for this very item/

My son a Jr in High School last minute needed a binder to put together a presentation for next day in school. Ran out last minute to Staples and found this. Very easy to open/close assemble papers with dividers and tabs. Was glad in came in black.

We buy this binder every year for my son to use in school. Doesn't hold up real well with a 10 year old boy but then none of them do.

1" Staples Better View Binder with D-Rings Black by Staples. VERY GOOD BINDER 10-TIMES BETTER THAN OTHER 3-RING BINDERS. NO SHARP EDGES AND HEAVY DUTY WILL LAST A LIFETIME.

I bought these binders to provide equipment manuals to a customer. They liked them so much that they didn't want the binders provided by the project manager. The built-in pocket on the inside of the front cover is bonus. Great for holding CD's and Extra Keys for my application.

So So

In the end the only problem with the binder is enough of a reason for me to get rid of them. I have two 1.5" and one 2" version of this binder. The ring systems in all three are cheaply made. The opening lever is fine but the rings are flimsy and do not close tightly. Everyone who uses three ring binders regularly knows that the rings start to separate after heavy use. These rings are separating after only 2 weeks of use. Also two of the binders have "hang-nails" on the rings catching on papers. I also question how well the rubber hinge will hold up over time. Though I can't complain as of yet.
