I have two kids who use 3-inch binders for school. The binders don't last long with the constant tugging out of and pushing into their backpacks along with other books and whatnot. These have held up better than any others that I've found. They cost a bit more but I don't have to buy binders as often.
It's a great binder but if you try to open the rings without using the open tab the rings deform and never close properly again. The tab is really awkward and difficult to depress.
within a week one ring didn't close evenly. bought it hoping this wounldn't happen. it seems impossible to find one that all the rings will close evenly after use.
I use the 2" for my monthly bank records and deposits and 3" binders to house my online orders for my photography business. The quality is superb. I have never had any trouble with the alignment of the ring when it opens or closes nor have I had any tearing of the binder itself. Because of the many color options I am able to select a new color each year which helps me in my organization process.
Good design; wish it was a little more durable. The rings in the larger notebooks (2" 3")should be of heavier gauge metal -- by the end of a semester of carting around rings were not closing evenly. Also 2.5" size would be handy.
