I love the rubber on the outside end. The plastic binders slip out of my hand when I lift them up - takes two hands. These lift up easily with one hand. I bought three small binders first then went back to buy three of the large 3" for doing family genealogy. Will replace all my binders (about 20) the next time they are on sale.
I have about twenty of these (so far) and use them primarily for business documents/forms storage. Titles are easy to create/insert. They hold up to frequent use and the open tab is easy to use. You might find cheaper 3" D-ring binders but these are the best I've found for the price. I also keep one in a tote in our designated storm shelter area that includes copies of insurance policies birth & marriage certificates SS & credit cards important account & phone numbers computer files backup etc.
Needed a big binder to hold all the client's information for the year. The rings are durable enough that they can be opened and closed on a daily basis. It's perfect!
Unlike many notebooks (binders as Mitt Romney would say) the reinforced covers will serve long term. The ease with which the rings open is greatly appreciated: quiet no struggles. Inside pockets provide secure placement of sheets not included in the interior. The selection of colors makes it fun. Subject and/or purpose is easily identified by color. The D rings accommodate more sheets reducing total number of notebooks required. Spine labels provide additional opportunity to identify topic chronology etc quickly without having to open notebooks. Great products!
