This product aaccomodates a typical school year and 5-subjects. Thanks for the array of sizes and bold colors. Hence this product will last for ine year and you will have to replace it because the 1st ring becomes misaligned.

Great Binder

This binder is great. Rings mounted to the back rather than the spine make for a much sturdier product. Pages turn a lot easier and stay in place better when the binder is standing up on the shelf. The rings are easy open no problems and they close easily too but this doesn't take away from their secure close. I love the label along the spine - much easier to get a label in and out than when the whole spine is open. Great look too. I bought two of these to hold manuals and warranty information and I'm planning to buy several more to transfer over other binders. Love it.

Just the right size!

I needed the size but I should have tried opening it before I left the store. It is difficult to open if you suffer any sort of arthritis in your hands. It won't be the last purchase of a large binder but I will certainly test opening the next one before I take it to the counter. If the sales staff person at the sales counter sees that the customer is older he or she might suggest that the customer test the opening mechanism. Think how happy it'd make a customer feel to know Staples' cares that much about acquiring a satisfied customer.

Second one purchased this school year!

School work requires strong large notebooks. My granddaughter requires them because of all the notebooks and school work she has to carry in them. She said not to get a plastic-covered notebook because they don't hold up. She would know since there's no way she could use a backpack. There aren't any large enough! Only drawback was - she wanted a purple one and they weren't available - lol! I'm sure I'll be getting more as she will attend college in the fall. Her brother will be the next one up to need such notebooks.

The Staples Better View Binder is an exceptionally will crafted D-Ring Binder. The edges and the spine are crafted with a soft rubber type material that is non marring and help to prevent it from sliding. The window in the spine will allow you to place a label on the inside for easy identification of its contents. There is also a clear plastic cover on the front of the binder as will so as to place a full cover sheet blank document or form if one desires. The D-Ring itself has a single push down lever at the base for easy opening.

It would have been a 5 star rating but the plastic folder in the front cover broke easily. Staples was great and replaced it for us.

Great binder but is not durable

I purchased this binder for my teenage daughter who is in high school. The binder worked great but in about three months- it started to fall apart and needed to be replaced.
