This thing is sturdy and pretty with an exceptionally easy way to label the binder spine which usually with other binders is a frustrating experience. The clear plastic sleeve in the front is also easy to fill with a cover sheet. The "D" rings are well made line up well and easily open and close with the touch of a black lever on the bottom of the metal housing for the rings. I've had problems before with moisture getting inside my binders and causing the plastic coverings to get a wrinkled look but that could not happen with this binder as it is made of hard plastic instead of the usual soft plastic covering something harder inside. So I splurged and bought a bunch of these. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great binders!!

I have purchased many binders over the last 23 years. I have 3 children now 25 23 and 16. I am now a full time college student and have already purchased 2 years worth. Year after year I purchased binder after year for my girls. By the time first semester was over I was already going and buying a new binder because it had already ripped. The Better Binders last and last! Semester after semester I have not had one of these rubber reinforced binders to rip apart. The transparent pockets on the front covers are great for a photocopy of my textbook to slide right in. If you haven't tried these do so!

Great binder so far!

I bought this binder primarily because it was hard to find a yellow binder and this one was both the size and color I needed to maintain a color-code system. It turns out that the flexible rubberized hinges are ideal for folding the cover back to take up less space on your desk while studying or taking notes. I'm not sure if it was intended to be used this way so I hope it holds up. Besides the color this is my favorite feature of the binder. I also like the spine insert for labeling (much easier to use than a full-length sleeve) and the clear / unobtrusive slant pockets on the inside and outside covers. The mechanism for opening and closing the rings is different from what I have seen before and is very nice. The only drawback is the rubberized front edge of the binder - it makes it hard to put into a tote bag or book bag because there is also rubber on the spine - so it doesn't slide into your bag or against other books. Maybe this would be more of a plus for a binder that is kept on a shelf.

Sturdy binder with reliable rings

I recommend this binder because the rings close tight and easily snaps open. The cover is sturdy protective making it more resistant to damage than most binders.
