I have found these to be very useful for many reasons right now my family is getting older with homes of their own and wanting my family recipes. Staples has great binders for this and I have been printing out my recipes and making cookbooks with them. This way if the cooks splatters anything on the page it can be wiped clean.

Dependable sheet protectors

I have been buying these particular sheet protectors for awhile; and I use them in my classroom for schedules to hang and for student work. They are pretty reasonable price-wise so I highly recommend them. They don't tear a bit and they can be cleaned with a bit of spray cleaner. I use them in my classes when I want to copy a class set of notes for students. It saves trees!
