I don't know how many of these boxes of sheet protectors I have bought but I have never been dissatisfied with their wear on the holes for the D rings. I am going through my folders constantly looking for patterns to knit.

I use these for scrapbooking in notebooks. They protect the pictures and stories. They are clear and strong enough that it doesn't feel flimsy when turning the pages.
