Why so much $$$???

The binder is fine and would get four stars but the rings are a little loose from the get-go and the price!!!!! How could there possibly be that much markup for something that is obviously about a dollars worth of plastic and steel?

I have been using binders for over fifty years. First was the "O-ring" binder. The pages at the beginning and at the end would curl up and things were a mess. Pages had a tendency to tear around each of the holes and then it was necessary to purchase "O-stickers" to reinforce the holes. The opener was at the bottom of the binder and had to be pressed with force to get the binder to open. And then when closing the binder two potential problems had to be avoided. First the o-ring would snap shut and one had best have fingers out of the way. A pinched finger did not produce a pleasant experience. Second since the o-ring would snap shut pages especially with a full binder often would get pinched in the o-ring and tear. The larger three and four inch binders were especially lethal. After a while binders came with openers at both the bottom and top of the binder which made opening a binder a little bit easier. And then sheet lifters were introduced and were placed at both the beginning and the end of insert pages which greatly assisted in keeping pages from curling. Great strides were made with the introduction of the slant-ring or d-ring binder. The d-ring was no longer attached to the spine but to the back cover which allowed the cover and spine to be opened flat. Pages can be easily turned and viewed with no more curling pages at the beginning and the end of inserted pages. O-ring binders became binder dinosaurs! The new Staples heavy duty d-ring binders are the ultimate in binder convenience. First it is a d-ring binder allowing for the maximizing of page content. The opener is the easiest to use of any binder that I have ever owned. Both opening and closing is with the greatest of ease. The variety of colors allows helps me to coordinate binders for various projects. Similar topics can have the same color binder – it gives a great appearance on my book shelves. Also I can coordinate with a single color and have binders of different sizes two inch three inch or other sizes all on the same shelf. The clear-view binder allows for creativity for inserts for both the front cover and the spine. Whenever I desire to change the use of the binder or simply want to alter the cover and spine design the change can be made quickly and with ease. The binders are great please continue to produce them! They are surely worth paying a few dollars more than for a "plain" binder. Thank you.

STAPLES HEAVY-DUTY VIEW BINDER

Once again we were in need of a new three ring heavy-duty binder because one of our old ones was getting beat up. So of course we visited our nearest Staples' store. Needless to say there were plenty of them in stock with different sizes and colors. We decided to purchase a three inch periwinkle (blue) binder with view. The view on both the front and the spine makes it very easy to find what it contains without taking it off of the shelf. The view is also easy to change. Just slip out the old paper and slip in the new one. As we have said previously bring in your old binder for recycling when you buy a new one and you will receive two dollars off of your purchase price. It's that easy!

Great binder for the neat & orderly

This view binder is great for just about everything you want to save. I love the fact that you don't need to apply hard to remove stickers just slide a tab into the spine or a full sheet on the front to identify what is enclosed. the "D" rings are ideal you can fully open the front cover without having to adjust the documents inside.

This binder is just great I buy one each year to keep my stock buy/sell orders and other transactions. I make a front cover off of my computer and print it.
