The heavy duty Staples binders are well made. I've tried other brands but have always returned to Staples and will continue to just buy Staples binders in future.

My middle schooler is required to carry a 2"inch binder just like this one with him during his school day. It contains all his class papers notes and homework. It really gets abused on a daily basis during the school year. While the outer portions of the binder holds up very well to this abuse the hardware does not fair as well. Each semester of school (approximately half way through the school year) we need to replace the binder because the mechanism no longer works properly and does not close completely.

I find that I like the D rings much more than the traditional O ring binder. And now you can open the rings with one hand instead of having to use both hands. There is one "tab" at the bottom of the binder that easily opens it. The front of the binder has a clear pocket so that a custom cover can be inserted.

Needed a sturdy 3-ring binder for a big project and chose Staples brand. Very satisfied with overall quality. Particularly like easy opening push tab coated in plastic.

Bigger than I expected

The spine of the binder is closer to three inches than two it was bigger than I expected. I'm also unsure how well the rings will hold up to extended use the one touch open is nice but seems a little flimsier than the old style with two tabs to open.
