Just what I needed!

As a Speech Therapist I use many different things to elicit speech. Many items come with pages as well as smaller parts. This item is exactly what I was looking for! I can now organize all of my ideas and games in notebooks and not loose the pieces. I only wish that there were more than 10 in each package.

Serve The Purpose

I like the medium weight of these paper protectors. While they serve my purpose I have been looking for heavy weight sleeve protectors as they are very good for storing acrylic stamps and metal dies attached to a magnetic sheet then placed into the sleeve protector. It's a little difficult to use the zip closure but as I stated they serve the purpose.

Good but too wide for even wide-paneled binders.

Well made for the price each will hold many sheets. I bought these without thinking about how wide they had to be to hold 8.5x11 paper. They are 9.5" from holes to outer edge too wide for the wide-paneled binder I bought for them.

sheet protectors hard to seal
on March 22, 2020

these sheet protects appear to be quite rugged and certainly will enclose whatever you entrust to them. the problem i see is that they are very difficult to seal properly and without the seal what's the point. bottom line: learn to seal the properly and they should serve you well.

Not so great

I've got a lot of aftermarket model kit decal sheets so I thought these would be a good way to store them in a binder. The protectors are nice and open/close decently but do not provide a waterproof seal like other sheet protectors or regular Ziplock bags. There is a gap at both ends of the pocket opening - less of a gap than top-loading protectors without a closing seal but still a gap (see 1st photo). Also in the 1st photo you can see how well (or not) these work for thin contents (anything less than 1/2" say one or two sheets of paper). In order for the seal to accommodate thicker contents (the protectors expand up to 1/2") it ends up buckling/distorting when closing with thinner contents. I bought 200 of these and many of them did not have the sealing edge trimmed flush (see 2nd photo). Easy enough to trim manually with scissors but a user really shouldn't be having to do this at all (some protrude by as much as 1/4"). Lastly there didn't seem to be much thought for Staples brand page protectors fitting within a Staples brand 3-ring binder. These do not - they stick out past the binder edge by 1/2" (see 3rd pic). I don't fault the sheet protectors for this the added width is needed for the closure seal - but it would have been better if the same-branded binders were wide enough to properly hold them.
