I use the sheet protectors for outdoor ceremonies ie: weddings public ceremonies to keep the ink from running in the rain.

Worth it!

These are so much nicer than the cheaper lighter duty page protectors. They hold up much better are sturdier and feel more professional. Plus they won't become wrinkly looking like the lighter weight version. Spend the extra money and get the heavy weight. You won't regret it.

Not As Clear As Before

I've been using Staples' HD Sheet Protectors for more than four years now since Avery discontinued one of their design features. The Staples HD brand at that time had the desired "look" so I "switched horses in the middle of the stream". Over those progressing years since switching however Staples' production-line has undergone changes which have adversely effected the overall features/standards of their sheet protectors. Although the thickness may have been retained at 3.3 mils the clarity of the protector sheets have noticeably been faltering. Once crystal clear the protectors have progressively become increasingly foggy with vertical streaking. Those conditions have not (yet) degraded the photo documents I show & protect with the Staples sheet protectors so I will continue with the Staples HD brand until the clarity of the photos are shown to become not-as-clear as desired. This reality therefore dictates that I issue a caveat to my "recommendation to friends" - the mil thickness is adequate but for clarity it is up to the individual user to make that decision based on their document protection and clarity requirements.
