Laminate Subsitute

I used Avery side Insert Clear Sheet Protectors as a substitute for lamination of Emergency Escape Route signage in our church building. I cut the tab off inserted 110# cardstock and the Escape Route map. Foam mounting tape was used to adhere to the wall. The security feature made the landscape orientation work - and provided the ability to change the information if necessary. Product quality gives a professional appearance to the installation as does the clear transparency of the product.

They're sheet protectors....what can I say....they do the job. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are overpriced. Didn't see any Staples brand as an alternative.

Hanging "Ten"

I actually didn't use this product in a loose leaf binder. I had made a special large-number calendar for a neighbor with limited sight. As with most people my output was 11x8-1/2" so the pages (horizontal) fit neatly in the sleeve he fastens it horizontally on his wall and the pages of the calendar lift out of the top opening at the end of each month. I'd give it a score of "ten." Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with the other 24 sleeves (25 to a pack). When the opportunity come a knockin' I'm ready!

Clearly display inserts and protecting

These protectors appear to be archival material (not all are) and clearly display as well as protect documents and pages that can withstand lots of handling and page turning and long-use situations. The large-number in each box helps make the per-sheet cost manageable bringing the cost down to better than boxes of 8 or 10. Thanks to Avery and to Staples for providing the protection in quantities needed for projects. And for making them archival in not using chemicals in the plastics that ultimately harm the paper. For those of us who need protection and don't want to sacrifice the material condition of the documents this is a good answer.
