I use the protectors for my recipes. I can take one page out and place it on the counter. If I spill something on it all I have to do is wipe it off. The entire recipe is right it front of me easy to read and follow and returned to the binder clean for use next time.

Be aware that these open from the side not the top. I could not tell that from the package illustration and would have preferred a top opening. To be fair that fact is clearly written on the package. I just didn't notice it.
