Sturdy build which will let me use this for a while. Plus adds a great color to books. Does not slip on table it seems to have some kind of grip added. The best part of it is the rings. Opening the rings is not difficult anymore all you need to do is press down on a small plastic button and it opens up. Closing is no problem. It has two pockets on the inside one on each side that come in handy. It also has a pocket on the front so that you can put a schedule or even pictures making the binder more personal.
This line of ring binders are the only ones I have been able to find that are easy to open the rings while on a music stand. I have had no difficulty opening the rings to rearrange pages and even groups of pages in sheet protectors while leaving the binder on the music stand. On all the other binders I tried the shelf of the music stand interfered with lever to open the rings. The one inch size will easily hold all the music for a evening gig even when loaded in sheel protectors. I now have assembled binders for each of the four band members and have started binders for future use and archives.
This was recommended by a professional organizer and it is really better than any other binder that I have used. I like the placement of the rings. Instead of being on the spine they are attached to the back cover. The colors are very bright and I like the smaller window on the spine. It has a clear insert on the front to customize. The material is very durable and will hold up well to daily use. I expect to be using this binder for years. Past binders looked pretty ratty after a year or two of regular use.
I am reorganizing my office at home and was looking for color coded binders that would last a long long time. The Staples Better View binder is great. I have lots of cheaper overfilled 1/2" binders and by lots I mean about 65 binders to buy in the future so I will be a regular customer of Staples for years to come. You can get the big super dooper 3" ones also although I have yet to see the larger sizes in green which are my teaching binders. The black are my technical/hardware/computer binders. Personal correspondence and teaching notes go in the Purple ones. I will only do this changeover once in my lifetime and Staples has the best binder for long term use.
I love these binders for keeping hard copies of my Family Tree information. The labeling on the spine is great as are the many different colours for different Family Trees. I also like the idea that they stand up nicely on my book shelf. I find that I prefer many 1" as opposed to just one that has larger rings. I have recommended these binders to many of my friends.
I buy these binders every year for myself as a teacher and for my three children who are all students. They are the most durable brand that I have found on the market and my youngest son is pretty tough on things.
