My son and daughter only required one binder a year since we started using these from Staples. They a slightly more expensive than the inferior normal binders but their longevity more than makes up the difference.
These are very sturdy and easy to use. However the new storage pockets do not fit printer sized paper. I liked the old slat type pockets on the insides of the binder. The new ones are difficult to open and insert papers into. If they were just a quarter inch larger they would be perfect.
I’m very pleased with this bright cheerful notebook thatallows me to insert a title page on the cover. The insidepocket for additional materials is great. I appreciate itssturdy quality.
Poorly re-designed storage pocket on a great binder

We've been buying these binders for years now. They are hands down the best most durable binders. HOWEVER the redesigned pocket that was introduced last fall is the pits! Everyone in the family agrees about that. It's too short and narrow to fit a standard piece of paper. Secondly it's too flimsy to hold anything else substantial like a thumb drive. Lastly if you try to place pencils or pens in it they slip out of the holes in the corners. So the pocket is virtually useless!!! It's so ineffective that my students prefer to keep using the older binders (with the traditional slip pocket) even though the outer cover has taken a beating or to remove the redesigned pocket all together.
Overall a great binder. I’m sure the rubber edge is supposed to be for no slip but it can be annoying when trying to move the notebook on a table or desk.
