Daughters binder ripped at handle, it is 4 months old, I sent email on Friday and received a phone message on Monday morning regarding my issue. Product is guaranteed for one year and I will receive replacement, I am very impressed with the quick response time and service.
Pros: Color Variety, Easy To Customize, Easy To Open/Close, Rings Close Evenly, Well Built / Quality

So this is the third one of these I've purchased this school year and while the second one I bought held up for quite some time, the third one I just received a week ago has already got the handle on the side of it snapped off! Ughh! my kids in middle school so he does have a moderate amount of papers and folders in it but, come on! With its expensive tag and its "guarantee to last all year" it's probably best suited for elementary aged children who ironically, would have no use for such a large binder in the first place.
Pros: Easy To Customize, Easy To Open/Close, Rings Close Evenly
Cons: Breaks Easily, Flimsy Construction

I bought this for my son last year for school. He wont use anything else now. He especially liked the file pockets to organize each of his subjects.

Poor Construction And Not Durable

I got this binder for my 7th grader. The zipper has ripped away from the binder making it useless for carrying around notebooks and folders. It lasted less than 2 months! You assume when you get a Mead Five Star product, that you would be getting a durable product.

At the beginning of this current school year, I purchased an item very similar to this one for my daughter for school, as it was the item the school requested. Within a few weeks, the rings bent and she was unable to open and close the binder the way it's supposed to. She wanted to keep it, so I let her use it as long as she could, and then it finally just fell apart. I went to the store and purchased the Five Star Multi-Access File binder to replace the old one. Within 2 days, the inside mesh pockets were shredding and completely torn apart to where everything would fall out when my daughter opened the binder. She is not hard on her binders, and I would have expected the first one to last all year. I don't have money to buy new binders every few weeks. Please make a product that can withstand normal school wear and tear. Thank you!

Disappointed in quality!

As recommended by the school, I spent the extra money and bought a "good" (Five Star brand) zippered binder so that my child could use it all three years of middle school. It ripped the FIRST WEEK along the seam and it didn't have much in it besides folders and papers (no bulky books)! Needless to say, I am quite disappointed in the quality. I am willing to pay extra money for a durable product. However, I paid the extra money and received a product equivalent to those cheaper, off brand items.
