This D-ring version of a 2" is almost a necessity for a binder this large. It loaded well and so far is holding up to much use. The view panel on front and side makes it easier to find on the shelf as well. I got this on sale and am very happy with my purchase.
My kids generally talk me into buying the more expensive binders that everyone else seems to have. But after replacing them several times during one school year I finally decided I was going to insist they try the cheaper ones. At less than half the price these seem to last twice as long! You would think that they would rip sooner - but they don't. More importantly is that the rings seem to be able to last longer. On the more expensive ones my kids would show me how they would eventually bend and then the ends wouldn't meet after awhile. The resulting gap meant the binders no long work. With four kids that's a lot of savings.
Love these binders. They open with one hand and are very sturdy! Also love the see through cover and side panel for labels. Order these every year for our church bookkeeping records!
I've had a lot of experience with binders over the years. This one seems to handle almost 2" of paper quite well. I assume it's due to the design of the rings (round rings are not the greatest as you may know). These have a good D shape and seem to handle the aspects of opening and moving to different sections as well as I've seen with other binders. And the rings meet evenly another source of consternation when they don't and paper hangs up (and you have to try to bend them to meet properly). All in all a good binder.
