Great binder that holds its value

My daughter bought the 1" binders last year. She loved them. She used the front cover to scrapbook pictures of her friends. The binder lasted the entire year. This year we decided to try the 2".

2" Better View Binder with D-Rings

We purchased one of these Better Binders for the first time last year for our grandson. It lasted the entire school year. In spite of all the wear and tear he subjected it to it survived. It not only survived but it actually looked almost as good as when we purchased it except for the normal scuff marks on the outside front and back covers. He chose the 2" size and it served him well. The large sized rings enabled him to turn his school papers effortlessly they did not catch on the rings and tear. We bought another one this year and will continue to buy only these binders in the future.

These seem like durable binders but after 1 week of use as a 7th grader's school binder the entire ring mechanism not only broke but the entire bottom plate of the ring mechanism broke off and slid out. Apparently the right side of the rings is one plate and the left side is another plate and they are held together by the metal plate that you see when you open the binder. In this case the right and left side plates separated and .... well now I have seen more ring binder anatomy than I ever wished to see. I'm not sure why it is so hard to find a quality binder...and at $14 it seems that this binder would last more than one week.

It was needed to hold all the paper work we were are and will be collecting about my wife's diagnosis of Breast Cancer. I am an author so there will be stories collected along the way to recovery and success. It will probably be one of many binders that will be collected while going through treatment. She is quite particular about organization so these and the dividers we purchased along with it will be used to her greatest advantage. Even so early in her treatment we have accumulated quite a collection. Thank you for you help.

Horrible Product...you'll see!

I purchased this binder last year for my son who is in grade school. I was willing to give it a chance thinking it might hold up better than the average binder. WRONG! it wasn't long before the rings wouldn't close correctly no matter what we tried. It is guaranteed for life...so I took it back thinking maybe we just got a defective binder. Nope same thing with the second one...and then the entire D-ring came off on one end and was no longer attached to the backing. I should have taken it back again but what a hassle! I will go back to buying ONLY Avery Heavy Duty binders - they are much better and last all year without any issues.
