I bought this for my son as required by his school supply list. By the 3rd week the rings were not lining up and started catching on things. It is now 5 weeks into school and is barely usable. What a waste of money I thought I would get a better product from Staples.

Bought this for my son who is in the 6th grade. He doesn't have much time for his locker so he is forced to carry around most of his stuff in his arms. He needed a solid heavy duty binder. This binder seems like it will last. It is constructed well but my only complaint is the rings dont stay together well. You just have to pay attention that they're together before you start flipping.

Originally purchased the 3 inch 3 ring of this Staples Better Binder for my son entering 6th grade. Within two weeks of him starting school the binder seem was falling apart ! We bought this thinking they were more durable than the others well this one not so. Went back into store and my son opted for the same make Staples Better binder 2 inch this time 3 ring - its only been 3 weeks and one of the rings doesn’t close all the way - jamming up all the papers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PURCHASE. They look great but perform awful. STAPLES you should do your homework on your items before presenting it for purchase and wasting our time and money. Gave it one star for looks.

It served its purpose for now and was a great present. My only hesitation is that it may not last more than a year. The quality was a bit less than ideal for retail sales. I recommend a bit more attention during the inspection process.

I got two of these for school for my boys. their old binders had "exploded" so many times. we've used these for a week now and they've been great. they've survived the rough and tumble of boys. they've survived being dropped. the clips are strong. the only thing that makes them 4 star for me is that i've noticed the binder clips will overlap. but as soon as we un-overlap them they fit right back where they belong and are just as tight as before. i recommend so far!
