Binder is well made but is more difficult to store on a shelf than the more square ended binders.

Binder perfect for storage

Several years ago I realized that binders were perfect for storing raw data and written manuscripts. After years of experimenting I decided on three inches as the perfect width for binders used for the stated tasks. Binders with this diameter can store most material collected on a single subject without being overly bulky and they allow for logical compartmentalization of stored data if more than one binder is needed. The blue teal and other available colors are appealing to the eye. The D-ring system in Staples' binders is sturdy avoiding the situation of indecipherable messes resulting from dropped binders. My only complaint with the 3" Staples binders is that they are not as stiff as 3" Avery binders and this situation can lead to battles when trying to replace the Staples binders on book shelves after using them.

3" Binder review

This binder was extra-wide to help with large groups of data that needs organized. The clear view allows for easy identification of contents. The rings were extra-secure and large enough to accommodate my needs. I would definitely recommend this binder for applications that are voluminous. The price was little high but anticipate that the strength of the rings will allow for extended use. This is a common area for problems for binders especially large ones as they tend to experience problems with complete closure after a few uses.
I like it. Sturdy This replaces an old worn out binder to hold magazines from a historical society I belong to. Much better with the angled holders. If another binder gets too hold anything I definitely get another.
I love shopping at Staples and then binder I purchased last week is one of the best binders I’ve ever seen. I’ve been using that style for my reunion binders at Princeton for the last several years it’s durable and it actually feels secure in your hands when you’re carrying it all the best

Staples 3 " Better Binder Heavy Duty

My daughter went through the regular 3 inch binders every six weeks. They'd just fall apart from being shoved in a locker backpack etc. We bought the better binder after going through several other 3 inch binders and that was last school year. She is using the same one this school year. So we of course had to buy my son the same kind this year when he started intermediate school. Love how durable it is and holds up to being dropped shoved in lockers etc. It is large and bulky when filled with notebooks etc. but any 3 inch binder would be!

Pockets would be better if they were horizontal like other binders with two slots for pockets in each cover.
