I chose this binder specifically because of my prior history with it. It is a very sturdy binder. It opens and closes without difficulty. I like the outer cover where you can slip something in to show as the cover to the notebook.

We got this binder for my middle school daughter and she packs it full. She carries it all day and works with it all night. She is very careful but other binders corners and covers break apart. This one is still going strong and looks brand new.
