It's tough

It is really 'better' although I'm not sure if the price difference is justified. Of the six I bought four are still intact after two year of middle school! The two that needed to be replaced were taken out of service for school but are being used in home office - kid overstuffed the pockets and ripped them. Guess some training is needed on use of hole punch!!

Rings don't shut tight

Am very disappointed in this binder. Just bought it daughter customized it with her own slide in cover/label put in all the dividers and paper to be ready for the first day of school... and it doesn't shut tight. One of the rings sits about 1/4" open when the other two are shut. Which means that every time you try to move the papers on the ring they get caught or fall out. I expect a lot more out of an $11 binder and am very disappointed that it is broken before it has gotten any real use.

My son broke the binder within a week. It didn't close properly with the looseleaf paper.

I love these notebooks they have plenty of room have good construction so they last and they look nice. I do wish they came in different colors or even designs so I can keep track of what is in what notebook. Things have changed on the binders since I started using them for the better.

The rings broke after 8 weeks of use.

The rings won't open or close only after 8 weeks of general usage. And worst of all Staples won't let me return it despite selling such product in a premium price but lasts such a short period of time.
