The plastic cover would not lay flat and the binder will not hold 540 pages as advertised. At least not with std 20 pound paper.

I put approximately 50 plastic sheets with paper sheets inside......everytime I pick up the folder the plastic sheets are falling out of the bottom ring! The bottom ring does not close properly so the bottom of the sheets (bottom hole) are slipping out of the ring. I like the large rings but if they don’t all work tightly the binder is useless.

The rivet holding the ring system to the binder broke on the first day of use. Staples did replace the binder and the new binder is working fine.

I really love these binders for their durability and spaciousness. The colors are great and they hold up well. sometimes the rings get off track and then the papers don't move so freely but usually they are fixable.
