While the cover may be very durable the mechanics of the 3 rings are the pits. After 2 months of daily use (school) the binder does not keep papers in because they do not close properly.

My son has been using this binder for school for three years. They hold up very well. I bought one for my younger son this year when he needed one.

I have bought over a dozen of these binders for my college classes including prior learning credit for dance courses. They are wonderful: sturdy attractive a variety of colors D-rings window to write title and can stand like a book for filing. I plan to buy more- I have 3 courses to go for my BA in Dance Studies. Amen!

I'm addicted to this binder!

Opens with the press of the lever. Only need one hand (a thumb) to open no more tugging. If you try to open it by tugging on the rings it won't open. (Press the lever.) No worries about the binder popping open. Very high quality and well made. I'm addicted and made the switch to the "Staples Better Binder".
