Great storage binder

These binders are great quality for the price. I've bought them in the past and will continue to purchase them. I recommend these binders for document storage or reference binders not a binder that you plan to carry around or go in and out of a lot. The more they are used over time they do start to get a little weak and the pages don't turn as well. If you are looking for a binder to store documents in on a shelf or just reference the materials from time to time then this is it. I recommend this product.

3" Staples Navy D-ring View Binder

This is a great binder. I always use D-rings to make flipping the pages easier. This is a great product as it easy to open and close. No more scary snaps open or close. No more worrying that I'm going to pinch my hand while closing the rings. The open / close lever is a dream come true. The heavy duty quality is very sturdy and feels solid in my hands especially when full of papers. I use the Navy and it looks very professional and sharp. I would recommend this to a friend. It's a great product!

Fun colors decent quality

I loved the color options for these binders and found the color true to its online appearance (at least on my monitor). I also like that a sheet can be inserted in the cover to customize the appearance. There are two sheets of clear plastic inside that serve as flaps for a small number of papers. I haven't yet used it loaded but the spring mechanism seems both sturdy and easy to use. Now I think the plastic being used to cover these binders may be thinner than that used years ago. It seems more prone to getting punched or torn than some of the older binders I have (one of the corners got a little mushed and punched through when it was stored inside another binder its edge against the second binder's rings). I think that may be par for the course however. I bought an Avery brand one with the same specs at the same time and the plastic of that binding cracked the whole way down the spine--also before it had been used. The cracking may have been caused by being shipped during cold weather (plastic does get brittle and I ordered it in January) but I think that the plastic covering is simply not as "heavy duty" as the rings are meant to be. Will just have to store and handle with some care.

Binders

These binders go through much abuse on a daily basis and continue to perform well. We access the information stored in the binders many times a day. The rings have stayed true and aligned well even though we are not always gentle with them. We currently have them as full as they can be and are still able to easily open and close them as needed. Personally I really like the ability to slide new labels easily into the front back or side of them. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to store large amounts of paperwork that needs to be readily available to many people.

In our Accounting Office we use our binders on a daily basis not just to store prior year documents. We like the ease of the one touch open feature and the durability of the binder overall. We also utilize the clear plastic pockets on the front back and spine for identification purposes. Good product!

I love the fact that Staples has a variety of sizes and colors of binders. They also have them with just rings or with the more secure D-ring which allows more pages to be inserted but also allows them to more freely move within the binder. I use them for genealogy and it is so nice to have the choices of size and color to keep the family groups separate. Pair the Staples binders with the Avery five tab Avery eight tab dividers or Avery binder covers and you have the best looking binders ever.
