Great Binder Worth the Extra $$
on March 8, 2014

The Better binders are Staple's answer to an age old problem binder hinges and covers that fall apart. The durable vinyl covers are solid color through and through no cardboard filler and no seams to let go. This alone makes the Better binder a good choice for heavy usage. The hinges take the "better" concept a step beyond--they are a flexible rubber-like material that would have to be purposefully torn or cut. It is heat bonded (I would guess) with the cover and spine and I have yet to see one come loose much less apart. The spine has an insert window for a lable (included but you can make more out of index card stock) and the cover has a see through window for a cover page. Inside the round rings are gone replaced with flat sided "D" rings and the cover folds all the way open to make access even easier. They cost more but then you will not likely have to replace them either...

Great for research projects

I use these for the reseach I am doing in my MA course work. They are easy to use due to the flexible spine and rubberized spine and edges. The structure makes them durable yet easy to work with. The Easy-insert spine label and front document window makes it easy for cataloging and quick referenceing. I really like that the rings open easily with the touch of a finger because I do not have to stop and put the pages down I am going to insert jsut to open the rings. The use of D rings rather than O rings make it easier to open and close the binder when you have more than 300 sheets inside. The Interior pockets for organization and storage areas are great for items used frequently making them easy to grab in a hurry.

hard to carry
on March 7, 2014

This binder is a pretty pink color. However the reinforced rubberized spine makes it very difficult to carry. It has a tendency to move back and forth. I wished I had not torn off the cover because I would definitely return it. I have bought smaller sized ones of this type of binder and they worked fine. 3" ones are just too difficult to carry to make worthwhile.

This is the best binder ever bought and will buy more of these binders even I have to buy more binders for my classes. Thus binder is very strong and long lasting without falling apart like the other binders I do have from other classes.

great product for teen
on March 5, 2014

Daughter loves this so far. It came in pink which is her favorite color and she likes the one touch open on the rings. It also is very flexible at the binding but sturdy enough to write while holding. 3 in gives plenty of space for stuff and name is inserted into see thru pouch on binding. Would deffiently recommend for tweens and teens. The biggest down would be price overall it was same price as fancy zipper binders like case it wish it was less expensive. Or came with the pocket extras that case it and fivestar do.

Love the guaranty

No binders hold up to my children (they cannot carry backpacks so everything has to be kept in their binders). These binders have lasted longer than the others we have tried. When something breaks now it may be the rings or the pockets on the inside we go back to Staples and exchange the broken binder for a new one. I have purchased 2 binders for each of my children when one breaks they have another one to use until we can exchange the most recently damaged binder. I hope there really is not a limit to how often we can exchange these my daughter is on her 3rd one for this school year.

Strong and Durable

I use this binder for 5 subjects of loose leaf paper 7 folders and then course syllabuses and schedules. It opens easily with just a push of the lever the rings have not warped or stretched. I have even dropped this a few times and it hasn't phased it. I really like how the cover folds completely back and tucks under. The rubber around the edges keeps it in place where ever you set it. Also it doesn't have those sharp corners like other binders! You can easily change the binder display so you know what is inside of it. Is available in a great assortment of trendy colors.

3" Staples® Better™ binder View Binder

These binders seem pricey at first but they are more than worth their price. I have used regular binders heavy duty binders-even binders with a hinge. None wore as well as these binders. These binders are heavy duty and do not wear out. My oldest of these binders is about 4 years old and is used several times a day. Not a bit of wear to the binder. Previous binders used for the same purpose lasted about 1 year. I cannot say enough of the quality of these binders!
