The Staples Better View Binder is an exceptionally will crafted D-Ring Binder. The edges and the spine are crafted with a soft rubber type material that is non marring and help to prevent it from sliding. The window in the spine will allow you to place a label on the inside for easy identification of its contents. There is also a clear plastic cover on the front of the binder as will so as to place a full cover sheet blank document or form if one desires. The D-Ring itself has a single push down lever at the base for easy opening.
I purchased this binder for my teenage daughter who is in high school. The binder worked great but in about three months- it started to fall apart and needed to be replaced.
By now I must be using my umpteenth Staples Better View Binder! I use it for individual family histories in my gigantic genealogy project family photo albums at least three organizations' records -- minutes photographs for instance -- for which I serve as either historian or secretary. What I like most is the durability and flexibility these binders provide for the sometimes constant use I put them through. They look good and also I like the color coding so that I can easily recognize the one I need.
I purchased two binders and I found that the plastic sleeves did not slide effortlessly front to back. When I have purchased other binders I did not have this problem. I was attracted to this binder due to the unusual shape and felt it would work better but in practice it did not.
Love this binder it is good and sturdy not like the regular binders that start to fall apart within a couple of weeks of using them. Just wish these binders didn't cost as much as they do or I would buy quite a few more for my kids for school.
Bought this one to replace an orange one that the 2 screws that hold the metal rings on came off rendering the whole thing useless. Really liked the materials the external binder is made of and the exterior was really durable. The plastic sleeves on the front inside cover doesn't hold much and gave out within 3 moths of the start of school. Like the ability to put a paper in the front sleeve but it doesn't clean really well either. Bought the blue one hoping that maybe the first one was just defective as we have another blue one that doesn't get a much use as it's used for scouting once or twice a week. It is holding up better. Hopefully this one lasts longer.
