Love my new binder! It is wonderful for holding all my paperwork. I got a smaller one before and outgrew it pretty fast so I needed something that would allow me to fit a lot more stuff into it. This binder is great for that plus it allows for plenty of extra space to add to it later. Definitely love it
I purchased this binder to use for a class I was taking. Out of all the choices I had I chose this one because of the reinforced edges where it bends when you open and close it. I've paid far to much on 3 ring binders to keep having the covers break off after a while of use. Great inside flaps hold discs papers misc items. Another great feature was the one handed opening of the rings. I am sometimes holding the papers I intend to put in the binder and it's nice to be able to open with one finger. One last great thing is that the rings actually have a little piece that goes into the opposite ring so there is no gap to tear your papers. Great product.
This binder is great for my daughter! It's a color that she loves plus it's sturdy which means that I won't have to buy another during the school year! The 3" binder holds all of her notebooks folders and pencil case. It's definitely worth the money!
I'm going into high school and I plan to continually buy this binder. Over the course of the school year little damage was prevelant and it was still in pretty good conditon. They have a lot of colors to chose from to suit all people. It has a nice label on the side to put your name on or something and everything felt secure and not like it was going to fall apart the first week. My only problem that I had with it is that the binder rings became unalligned by the end of the year so papers got stuck or fell out. But yet at the same time it lasted way long than an Avery Heavy Duty binder would. So you could buy one Staples Better Binder to the last the year or 2-3 Avery Heavy Duty Binders. I think the choice is clear.
I was originally attracted to this binder on the shelf because it looked sharp. On further inspection I found that the black areas were non-slip rubberized material which made the binder easy to carry and open/close. The other thing that stood out was the excellent trigger to open and close the rings--a sore point for me on most binders. I think this binder will last a lot longer than those I have purchased in the past.
Several years ago I realized that binders were perfect for storing raw data and written manuscripts. After years of experimenting I decided on three inches as the perfect width for binders used for the stated tasks. Binders with this diameter can store most material collected on a single subject without being overly bulky and they allow for logical compartmentalization of stored data if more than one binder is needed. The blue teal and other available colors are appealing to the eye. The D-ring system in Staples' binders is sturdy avoiding the situation of indecipherable messes resulting from dropped binders. My only complaint with the 3" Staples binders is that they are not as stiff as 3" Avery binders and this situation can lead to battles when trying to replace the Staples binders on book shelves after using them.
I love these binders. They are extremely sturdy and the rings hold up very well. In addition they come in a wide variety of great colors. The label window in the spine looks neat and is easy to insert a label into. I use them for my crochet patterns and will continue to buy more to keep my collection organized and looking spiffy.
If I could give it no stars I would. The ring closures are poorly constructed and don't close. After filling it a third of the pages all fell out. Not only that I packed it away after filling it as it was being used for a yearly committee project. The next year I brought it out and discovered the defect. Because I hadn't used for the first year after purchasing it I didn't keep the receipt. So I brought it back to Staples to exchange it for a stronger binder that worked. The store manager was so rude and unhelpful and wouldn't even exchange it even though it was clearly defective and obviously still new. Terrible product terrible service.
