If you are compiling research or study materials -- nothing will beat the sturdiness of the binder! There is also an inside (transparent) pocket folder to hold additional documents!

Maybe it has been awhile since I bought a binder but $9 seems high compared to what else you can buy for that much money. Other than the price the binder seems fine. The rings close fully and are configured in a way that pieces of paper will not slip out.
