It cost more than a regular plastic binders but it doesn't break down around the edges. And the binder ring opens and closes easily. If it's going to get used every day it's worth the investment.
This is a decent D-ring binder. It has rubbery trim along the folding portions at the spine and along the opening edges/ends of the binder -- this makes it easy to grip but they also get caught up in my book-bag making the binder a little annoying to retrieve or put away especially if there are more than one in my bag. The D-ring design holds more paper than the old-fashioned round design but it can be difficult to turn pages especially if the binder is rather full. In general the binder seems pretty durable EXCEPT for the clear plastic view-window on the front -- the plastic tears quite easily so be careful inserting or removing your cover page.
I am a teacher and use the binders to organize my lesson plans class materials and grade book. I use several different sizes based on the need. Color coding for quick grab and go and front pockets for personalizing are great.
I'm using this product for class notes in college. I just started using it so I don't know how durable it's going to be but it's worked extremely well for the past month. It's easy to find because of the label. Overall I really like this product. I will definitely buy more of them in the future.
