The binder itself is fine but I have not been able to figure out the use for the inside pocket A pencil or pen falls out and it is not large enough to hold regular sized paper unfolded.

I have used these binders for years. And yes they are a "better" binder. Really like the size and color selection. The pocket on the inside of the front cover is a real plus. I keep post-it notes and little flags in them so I have them handy when I need them. I use these binders for my recipes craft sewing and knitting instructions sewing machine manuals. You name it it's in one of these binders!
