This is a fully functional apparently rugged inch-and-a-half binder. Two things surprised me when using it however: First there is no clear plastic insert on the back cover for a outside back cover to the volume as there is on the front. Secondly the spine label is unusual. It slides out and in from the inside of the spine. There's a perforated slip provided with the product ID on the half that shows and a blank section that can be used for a label. The advantage is that a small label will do for the insert. The disadvantage is that a full-sized label panel isn't possible. These limitations make the binder unsuitable for the pre-printed book I bought it to house but it'd be fine for something else.
I had recently purchased a bunch of the "durable" binders and they fell apart. I then got these and they are the best binders!! Staples for sure did a great job with these.
I was looking for a yellow binder to store math lessons and I found what I needed/wanted at Staples. I actually got more than I bargained for because I love the reinforced sides. Being an educator for more than 15 years you tend to go through a lot of binders. I have tried a lot of other brands and the Staples Better View Binder is very durable. It is still going strong and looks as good as when I first bought it. I actually went to Staples and purchased another one for my reading lessons. This time purple! Thanks Staples for making this product.
