The major flaw I have found is that the bottom door pops open every time the top door closes. The other thing I dislike is that there is no light in the bottom section. I would not buy this product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor door seal/Missing light in lower compartment

The absence of a light in the lower compartment is poor design. Each door looses its seal when the other is closed causing the need to always push on each door to make sure it’s closed and sealed. Overall the concept and general function of the unit is good.

The freezer door doesn't close properly and the unit doesn't hold below freezing temperatures.

Don’t waste your money or time

I bought this 5/3/25 & the freezer has already stopped working and it’s been impossible to get ahold of anyone & the app is not helpful!

Great Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a surprised by the storage capacity on this unit. I love how i can change it to double fridge or double freezer at the push of the button. Noice level is non existent, had to make sure it was on. Love the app and how ir shows current energy consumption and keeps track of even how many times you open the door. Would recommend this unit to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing freezer and refrigerator! The storage capacity is waaaay beyond what I was expecting. Energy efficiency on point and can be placed in the garage as well. Super Low noise levels and built to last! This is definitely a combo refrigerator that’s made for a family of 5 or more. Highly recommended! Great for storing banchan and kimchi.

Garage Pantry Game Changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Midea 50/50 Flex replaced our old standup freezer in the pantry off of our garage and it is a GAME CHANGER! I included a picture of our old commercial freezer to show how limited the capacity is compared to the Midea 50/50 Flex, despite being nearly the same size (Midea was only 1.5” larger all around). Not only is the 50/50 feature amazing since it lets us choose how we want to split the space, but it also allows us to keep the second half closed while only looking in one part (our previous stand up freezer was a single door).
The app also allows you to not only control the temperatures of each section, but also switch between which half is freezer or fridge in addition to running a diagnostics check and energy management. From the pictures, you can see how an entire commercial freezer’s worth of frozen food fit into our new Midea with PLENTY of room to spare.
We definitely recommend the Midea 50/50 flex to replace your old garage overflow freezers and give you the additional space and flexibility you need!

Will save us money in a long run!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an outstanding addition to our garage, we are family of 4 and we do like everyone else have a regular fridge in a kitchen but unfortunately as kids grow so our need to buy and store food so we were very limited on what we could get in the stores due to very limited capacity in our kitchen fridge. This is absolutely amazing, you can switch it to full freezer, full fridge or half and half as far as temperatures goes, which kind of incredible. We left it as half and half and loaded top fridge with drinkers for us and kids and have plenty of room for bulk vegetables and milk. Freezer is great as well, from meat to kids popsicles, to an extra bag of ice for summer, it’s super nice because it is in garage so kids can run up and grab a drink or snack directly from here. So in a long run it will save our family great amount because now we can buy bigger bulks that tend to be cheaper. Plus this fridge is super quiet, can’t hear it at all, not that it would make huge difference for us since we do have it in the garage, but if it’s a deal breaker for you, truly makes no noise at all. Quality seems great, super easy instructions and it’s ready when you get it, plug it in and it’s good to go once it’s cooled off. The whole experience with this fridge is absolutely smooth and excellent, everything was very easy and wife just super excited to put all drinks in instead of them just sitting in a garage in boxes and loading few at time in our main fridge. It is super helpful for us and we definitely loving all the savings that will come with it because of additional food storage! Love the fact that we have option to regulate compartments that the best fits our family needs!
