Build and first fire up

Build waa great everything went together easy. Seasoning the plate was a little tricky but followed instructions easily enough. First cook was ok some food stuck to the plate but im sure it will vet better with time.

Randomly goes into low flame mode, not dependable

I have two family members with the very same model and all three of us have experienced the same problem with our blackstones. Sometimes, entirely unpredictably, the flames will all suddenly get very low/barely on regardless of how high the dials are set. It’s hard to notice that it happened but the grill cools down and the food doesn’t cook right. The remedy we have found seems to be that the hose to the LP tank needs to be disconnected and reconnected and the unit restarted. I have ruined some good steaks and other expensive meats due to this problem. I expected better of the Blackstone brand! Overall though, when it works, it’s amazing. I seasoned mine perfectly and always properly maintain it so other than the problem mentioned above it’s a great product and I use it several times weekly.

It sounds like once you reset the regulator things go back to normal, this could be a result of how much you open the propane tank to begin with. Very excited to get cooking on my new griddle!! Came with a dented hood that causes the roof to wobble when closed and a little hook attachment that didn’t fit over the post it mounts to very well but everything else is spectacular!
