Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m obsessed with my new iRobot roomba! I was worried the set up would be a nightmare, but it was the quickest and easiest thing ever. It’s very quiet and I was able to even take calls standing nearby. The floor is clean and not overly wet. Perfect in all senses!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Roomba is perfect it cleans the house by its self all I got to do is start it on the app and the if it gets hit when moving it can still withstand. It also has a mop feature you just fill it up with water and it can mop after vacuuming. This is awesome.

Your homes new best friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It arrived super quickly! I am currently in the process of moving and was looking out for this product as my new location will mainly have hardwood floors. Friends have used this product around me before and it works great, especially for a small apartment! I love how compact and simple to use it is.

Good, but wanted it to be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In theory, this is great. However, the “mop” feature doesn’t use water, so it’s really just wiping the dry floor. You have to go around and move everything out of the way in order for it to work. It can’t navigate my low pile carpets, so it only really cleans half of my apartment. I wanted it to be better! Battery life is good- lasts 45+ mins vacuuming. It’s quieter than a normal vacuum but still omits noise obviously.

Good depending on home layout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was very excited for this product however when first trying out product, the battery would immediately die when undocked and wouldn’t charge when on the dock. This was resolved by taking out the battery and putting it back in, but instructions on how to access the battery were not part of the user manual. This roomba also has difficulty going over area rugs and flips the edges up and down when trying to clean near area rugs. Given the setup of my home, this limits the roomba cleaning to just one room in the home. But it is easy to create schedules and send the roomba to clean that room, and it cleans pretty well when able so still would recommend the product if the home setup doesn’t have any rugs.

Smart Daily Cleaner with Vacuum and Mop
on May 5, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot Roomba 105 Combo Robot with AutoEmpty Dock is an excellent smart cleaning assistant. The robot itself has a solid, well-built feel and comes with a wide range of features. The Auto-Empty Dock is an excellent addition, allowing the unit to clean multiple times without needing manual emptying. Setting up the initial base map is critical —be prepared to do a few test runs and remap if needed. Once the layout is accurate, taking some time to go through the customization options really makes a difference. You can split or combine rooms, set “no-go” zones, designate areas for vacuuming only or mopping, and create custom cleaning zones.
The vacuum function is impressively capable. It navigates around walls, corners, and under furniture with minimal issues, and the cleaning lines on our carpet looked consistent and neat. Suction strength can be adjusted, and even on standard settings, it picks up dirt, dust, and crumbs effectively. The dustbin holds enough to get through a regular cleaning cycle, and being able to schedule cleanings or trigger them through the app adds a lot of flexibility. The robot does a solid job around our table and chairs and easily handles transitions from hardwood to rugs. That said, it did struggle with stairs—while the cliff sensors kept it from falling, it repeatedly tried to move toward the steps, leaving rubber marks on our carpet after spinning in place. The peculiarities of the mapping app prevented setting a no-go zone along the edge, so I had to make the top of the stairs a separate “room” that acts as a passthrough but never gets cleaned.
The mopping feature is convenient and works best on hard floors without heavy dirt buildup. The robot dispenses cleaning solution from its onboard reservoir and runs a washable mop pad across the floor. It leaves a nice shine and handles light daily grime well, though it doesn't re-collect the dispensed water. You can control the amount of liquid used, which helps balance performance and drying time. The mopping function is particularly handy for quick cleanups in high-traffic areas like the kitchen, especially with kids in the house.
There are some areas where the experience could be improved. The app, while feature-rich, can be unintuitive at times. I sometimes had trouble getting map edits to save and couldn’t figure out how to set default cleaning methods for specific rooms, which would be really useful. The Auto-Empty Dock, while effective, is extremely loud during its cycle—so much so that I avoid scheduling runs overnight. I wish there was a way to silence or delay the emptying feature during certain hours, but I wasn’t able to find that option in the app. Occasionally the robot got stuck and needed assistance, especially if it encountered tight spaces or unexpected objects.
Despite a few quirks, the Roomba 105 Combo Robot has made daily floor maintenance a lot easier. It doesn’t replace a full manual deep clean, but for keeping up with everyday messes, it’s a strong performer. With a bit of setup and map customization, it can reliably handle both vacuuming and mopping duties across different rooms. If iRobot continues to refine the app experience and adds more scheduling and customization features, this could become a near-perfect solution for hands-off floor care.

Wonderful Robomaid with potential

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The roomba does a great job at cleaning and is able to charge itself. It can clean under our TV stand, just have to watch it the first few times as it can get stuck on a cable. The mopping function is good but due to code issues it sees "No Mopping Zones" as "No go zones" and needs help being moved from time to time. It is a good device with good potential.

Keep your floors clean between deep cleanings!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Roomba 105 Combo Robot is a decent machine that helps to keep your floors clean and mess-free. The set-up was easy and the App works well and is fairly user-friendly. I tested it on a few different settings to see what the power was like.
1. Vacuum only: excellent vacuum and the sensor works well to observe and avoid obstacles. Decent suction and good on both hardwood and carpet.
2. Basic Vacuum and Mop: I was initially disappointed in the mopping setting. I didnt feel like it got much up and the Vacuum seemed like it wasn't even wetting the floor.
3. Heavy Vacuum with double pass-through: Absolutely loved this setting.
It does a full Vacuum and then a second full vacuum in a cross-hatch pattern. My floors looked so clean! No cat hair no fuzz no crumbs.
4. Regular Vacuum and Smart-Scrub Mop: I think this was the better setting for the Mop. I will.also say I added a roomba cleaning solution as well and it made the difference too. Many of the spots I noticed on the floor were mopped up. The mopping was also more effective and covered the floor better.
Overall its a good buy. It takes some trial and error to find a good setting for what you want but your floors will be cleaner than before. My biggest negative was the charging time...it took all night to get 50%!
I do recommend and think its a good buy that will save a lot of time and is very convenient. My cats aren't bothered by it either and the noise level is quieter than a traditional vacuum.
