This honing steel works well and will brighten up your blades instantly. I love that the edge of the handle is the guide for the correct angle to place your knife. Handle is easy to hold.

Really needed a new sharpening steel

Easy and effective sharpener

Easily maintain the edge and angle of your German knives with this honing steel. Simply swipe your blades through a few times and realign your favorite knives every month or so. Easy to learn how to use if you don't already know how!

A good honing steel is necessary to keep that edge sharp, daily! A breeze to use and at this price, no excuse not to have one! Lightweight and comfortable handle makes using it a daily pleasure, not a task!

great honing steel

I misplaced the steel in my block... (actually it became a bbq coal poker :(() so I needed to find a replacement. This was a great deal and by the time it arrived, it was much needed. I could not believe how much difference my normal honing made until it was missing in my routine. I started using it again faithfully and it has made all the difference in the edges of my blades. If you don't hone regularly and properly, you are just wasting the benefits of good kitchen knives.
