Unfortunately, this peeler broke immediately upon first use out of the box. It was no match for an ordinary potato.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice peeling action for every day fruit peeling task. It would be nicer if the handle is allowed to swivel a bit to accommodate various angle of cuts

I needed to replace a vegetable peeler. This one required a little different motion than my old one, but I actually prefer it. The blade is sharp. The round handle is very comfortable. Great for potatoes and carrots.

Great design and function from this peeler. I use it all the time without every clogging the blade. It's great for peeling eggplant and squash and potatoes. maneuvers well around corners and ridges. Nice look and feel.

Love this for making carrot and potato salads!. It peels really well in both directions, making it a lot faster to get the jobs done. I also like to muse this for celery and asparagus. The fibers from the stalks never got caught in the blade.

The blade on this peeler is super sharp. It makes thin clean peels with very little waste. THe handle is well waited and the stainless steel material wont rust.

If you prefer to peel in an up and down motion, consider the Y peeler. A traditional straight peeler is used from side to side. The handle is very comfortable and the edge will stay sharp for a long time. What else would you expect from a premium knife maker.
