block scratches up your knives

beautiful, holds knives well, but the holes where magnets are exposed are not perfectly smooth and scratches your knives.

What a whimsical way to display/store your knives. I love the Italian design of this block, and the fact that the wood is selected from sustainable forests, makes it even more appealling. I have about 10 knives stored on mine and always prefer a magnetic bar/block for hygine purposes. I get a lot of comments/compliments on this block

This is such a cool way to store your knives and is sure to grab the attention of anyone who enters. The magnets are super strong so don't be concerned about the knives slipping from their spot. This makes it easy to identify the knife you want to use and reach for it. It's also a super sanitary way to store knives once they've been washed and dried.

Beautiful knife block!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that this doubles as a bookend for my cookbooks on the counter! It's beautiful, minimal, and functional. This is a good, study, fairly heavy weight knife block, though I wish it was actually a little heavier. I used to have a knife block that stored knives perpendicularly to the countertop, which is annoying if you're trying to store the knife block under an upper cabinet. I also appreciate that I can store knives on both sides. However, I have noticed some mild scratching on my knives, but that may be because my husband doesn't remember to turn the knife first before pulling it off the block.

Unique and space saving storage of knives. The block holds up to 10 knives. I love that you can see the knives instead of wasting time pulling out a knife to see if its correct. Beech wood is a refreshing color for a lighter style kitchen.

If you are looking to show off the blades of your knife without the utilitarian look of a magna bar, this easel will do nicely. Made of Beechwood it comfortable holds10 knives. You will likely be storing your steel and shears elsewhere.

Very innovative block design. Unique addition to your counter which holds up to 10 of your favorite knifes. The magnet is strong. Easy to see which knife you are selecting.
