Great quirky Knives. Forks not so much

I’ll keep it straight to the point. I purchased these for my Fiancé. We both were raised to hold silverware in European manner. Regardless of what the other reviews say the knives are probably the most comfortable knives I’ve held in a long time, even if they’re quirky to use and balance isn’t perfect. On the other hand the forks lack some weight and if you hold forks upside down, the square butt of the fork is very sharp on the palm of the hand. Again this is dependent on how the forks are held, but my fiancé said she will never like using these forks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid, well made, pieces are well balanced. These are the first flatware I haven't bent in basic use. The design is simple, elegant and nice in the hand. For me, the teaspoon is just a bit short. Finish is still bright years after purchase - returned to replace pieces lost to small hands and school / garbage / carelessness. We have had for years and never regretted. No signs of rust or discoloration at any time. Knife design is superior.

We love our new silverware. 61 years ago I received Oneida silverware for a wedding present which I still use at our lake home. I had purchased other silverware to replace that and it soon had rust on the knife edges and looked all scratched up and dull. Our new silverware is bright and shiny even after coming out of the dishwasher and we love the knife shape.

Pros: Heavy, quality feel in hands, lovely mirror finish adds a touch of class, the shape of the handles feels really nice, easy to grasp, the knives take a little getting used to but they are so much better than laying a buttered knife on the side, and they stay stable when setting them down as well
