My Favorite Go-To Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaces an identical knife purchased 30 years ago. I use it for almost every thing. The handle broke about 10 years ago but didn't come off until recently. When I taped it on my wife decided it was time to get me a new one.

Great ice hardened utility knife

This is a really nice stamped utility knife. The steel is really durable for a stamped knife since the high carbon stainless steel was ice hardened, helping give the knife a longer and sharper edge than most stamped blades. Perfect thing blade for slicing and dicing. The handle really contours nicely in my hand as well.

good utility

I like using this utility knife for slicing longer vegetables and fruits. Perfect for potatoes and yams. Strong, sharp steel makes for easy slicing. This is also a good knife for slicing smaller sized roasts and poultry. The handle is comfortable to hold. i like the classic three rivet look.

This utility knife can be used much like a large paring knife for small to medium cutting tasks, while taking on larger cutting jobs with more maneuverability than a chef's knife. German made single piece construction with traditional three riveted handle. Good weight and balance.

A utility knife is super versitle taking on all those small cutting tasks such as mincing garlic and herbs, slicing small fruit and vegetables and chopping shallots. Gourmet is an excellent stamped German knife. Made from premium German steel that has been ice hardened for long edge retention this knife is the best you can buy for the value.
