Love this knife for tomatoes or anything with a hard exterior and soft interior. The serrations are extremely sharp so pieces the food your cutting easily and glides right through. Its made from high quality steel so will last a long time. Also great on bread even the baguettes with the tough crumb.

When shopping for value priced knives you might be on a budget but you don't want to sacrifice sharpness and durability. Dynamic series will not disappoint and are perfect for a starter kitchen . Stamped from a single sheet of high quality stainless steel they are light weight and corrosion resistant. I like the way the handle is high on the bolster because it provides a comfortable area for my pinch grip. A five inch serrated knife is a must in any kitchen because it is the best one to reach for when cutting tomatoes, citrus, sandwiches, rolls or anything that has a tougher exterior and a softer interior.

the serrated blade is perfect for slicing hard, crusty rolls or fruits and vegetables that have a tougher outer skin. I like to use this blade for eggplant and heirloom tomatoes. The blade edge will easily pierce through the tougher outside while preserving the tender inside. No Squishing!!

The serrated edge of this 5" utility knife is well made and love the size for cutting bagels, crusty breads and even tomatoes! Wonderful shaped handle for easy manuevering. A must have for every kitchen.
