Absolutely stunning set of knives! Unmatched in today's knife world, these are a special and practical set for the gourmet or professional Chef. Bob Kramer is a name everyone who loves knives should know. This master bladesmith has partnered with Zwilling to make and design knives that are ultra-quality, beautiful and so functional, sharp and durable. The 100 layers of steel combined with pakkawood handles make for pieces of art that last a lifetime! Use one and you'll be convinced you need to own more!

Beautiful Bob Kramer set made from FC61 steel. These knives will surely be sharp and slice with much ease. The handle is beautiful and provides a great grip. The block itself is a unique design. These are knives you'll pass on; worth the investment!

The Meiji line of Bob Kramer knives is an asian inspired look on a western knife. The edge angle and the steel are in keeping with a typical western style Kramer production knife. The detailed and asian inspired handle with angles and smoothed corners gives the feel of a traditional eastern D shaped handle. An unexpected and stunning look to this collection.

Unique knife block

This is one of the most unique knife blocks I have ever seen, not to mention how beautiful the knives that go into it are. I love that this block comes with a 10" bread knife instead of the normal 8" that is too hard for most wide loaves of bread. The handles on the "Meiji" line of knives are very comfortable to use because the point in the handle fits perfectly into the knuckle groove in my hand.

Sharpest and nicest knife set ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just purchased these knives yesterday and are already in love! They are incredibly beautiful and sharp (was shredding the sponge when we were washing them). The knife block is great (longer than our previous one so does take up quite a bit of counter space). If you can swing it, I would definitely invest in these knives! They should last a lifetime.

This is a really unique Japanese collection by Bob Kramer. The handle shape really fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, a shape that I’ve never seen in another knife collection outside of the Meiji. With it having 100 layers of FC61 stainless steel, these knives cut and slice so smoothly and beautifully. It looks great and the block makes a statement on any counter top.
I would recommend this to a friend!
