This cooker is a fantastic piece of machinery. In addition to being an eye-pleaser, it has been used several times to cook Quinoa, and white and brown rice on other occasions, and It is still being constantly used, and without one hiccup. Its controls are simple to operate, and the cooking performance is spot-on. The machine is very highly recommended for its purpose in the kitchen. If you're mulling over the possibility of purchasing one, please do not hesitate. Get it, then use it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a 10+ year old rice cooker that I inherited from my parents. I never really thought a rice cooker could make better rice over another but I was wrong. My old rice cooker made rice just fine but rice that came out of this rice cooker had a fluffier feel and the rice clumped together better for easier chop stick use. I’ve made rice in the morning and returned to eat an early dinner and the rice was still piping hot and fluffy.
We chose this model because three cups uncooked rice will yield way more rice than my wife and I can eat in a sitting. We also liked the elongated look over the round ones because it fits perfectly between two larger appliances in our counter. The inner pot is very easy to clean, I just soak it in water for an hour, quickly clean off the rice residue with a soft sponge in 1-2 swipes and give it rinse.

I make jasmine rice in this on the regular white rice setting. (I tried it on the long grain setting and it came out mushy, so I guess white rice is best)
I tried to make quinoa on the quinoa setting... it tasted good but I don't think it was fully cooked. It could be because I used a quinoa blend with yellow, red, and black quinoa. Next time I'll try just yellow quinoa and maybe add more water than it says on the bowl.
As for the size, it's great! 5 cup is a great balance of easy to clean and enough room for 2 people with leftovers or 4 people if we have people over. I used to have a 10 cup Zojirushi but I bought this because I thought the bowl would be easy to clean and it is!
I haven't used the timer function but I'm glad it has that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those with patience, it cooks beautiful rice. We use the long-grain mode to cook Jasmine rice, and it comes out perfect. Then, it keeps it warm and delicious for ages. All that said, I’d rather it had a setting for congee than oatmeal. Finally, ours is indeed silver, and not as white as it appears in the photographs.

I use it all the time, it has an easy to read LCD control panel with menu settings also has a steam function for steaming, keeps the food warm for extended periods of time it also cleans up really well
