So far so good. Please not Im not actually giving this a 3star rating its kind of ridiculous to ask for a rating while registering the product since people typically register as soon as they receive it (at least I do). I literally JUST plugged it in for the first time so Im not sure how well it works / will work / will last; however it was easy to set up and was packaged nicely and the user manual was easy to understand...

Customers need to be aware that it does not come with a water bottle. When you get a water bottle be sure to buy a reusable top to avoid spills. So far this Avalon water dispenser is great!

The good: Dont have to use as much plastic as water bottles My son likes the chilled water Water refills+caps are slightly cheaper than water bottles although the extra $11 for the initial jug and power spent to chill the water probably makes this a wash The bad: I prefer room temperature water so the chilling and heating are wasted on me other than my sons preference for chilled water Water had a definitive plasticey flavor for the first few 5 gallon jug fills but it has subsided Space for a cup/bottle is not high enough making it difficult to fill water bottles NOTE: I have turned off the water heater so that I could get room temperature water from the hot spigot. However I noticed that that water seemed cool and took its temperature. It was about 62 degrees F which is about 10 degrees cooler than actual room temperature. This is likely from the chilled water in the unit sucking heat out of the hot water tank which is an inefficiency.
