I believe that one of the main advantages that ROAM has over its competitors is that it doesn’t actually look like a tracking device. The built in elastic attaching cord makes it very easy to attach to most items. Virtually all other trackers, like the AirTag for example, require some additional device to enable you attach them to whatever it is you want to protect. Additionally, the range of colour options makes it possible to ‘blend it in’ to whatever it is actually attached to, and protecting. My biggest complaint with the others out there is that they seem to scream ‘look at me, I’m a tracker’, making it so much easier for a would be thief to spot it, remove it and ditch it. Which, surely, goes against the main principle of using such a device. I applaud ROAM for daring to be different.

The Roam has impressed me. Admittedly the bar isn’t too high when you consider it is ‘just a Bluetooth tracker’, but there were some great design choices made by the team at Roam. The compact design and ability to securely fasten to awkward objects, or luggage straps allows you to be more flexible with the placement. It’s loud. It paired flawlessly with Find My on iPhone. It’s worth noting you cannot use the precise location mode, only an approximate location (it’s still accurate) and you should then visually locate, or use the sound cue to ping the item - however this is a limitation imposed by Apple and not a design flaw or oversight of the tracker.
The fact you don’t need to rely on a case or keyring etc is huge. It would be nice to see the profile and thickness decrease ever so slightly in future editions, but this has been a huge success for a Roam. I wear mine attached to a lanyard (that’s just survived a week or rollercoasters in Orlando) and I have no concerns about it falling off.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. Connects straight away to Googles Find Hub without needing to use any other apps. Works well. Buzzer could be a little louder.

I am very happy with my trackers. The devices are very well-designed and they added a pop of colour to my keychain. Once I found the instructions it was a quick set up as well.
I am happy about how well integrated the trackers with the Google Find My app are. As an Android user it can be tricky to find trackers designed for us and with Roam you don't need to pay for an extra subscription (like other brands in the game).

I have a couple of these, protecting site keys. They’re quite chunky but quirky looking, I like that I don’t need to buy another case to connect them to things.
Appear to work as well as my Apple air tags - it’s great that they support both Apple and Android.
