This is my 2nd Waterpik-100 and I bought another one because the 1st one was great! I have peridontal gum issues,...and use the Waterpik-100 3 times a day on the lowest setting.
It is gentle but effective. My specialist recommended that I add 2 T. unscented clorox to the water and upon that recommendation, I have had no gum infections since! I try to diligently rinse out any water/bleach but I do think that it may have affected the life of my Waterpik-100. I highly recommend the Waterpik-100!

Sometimes the water doesn't filter thru the cord, i found you must totally fill the container, to the top, with water.
