The unit is a bit loud but I have been pleased overall. The device has encourage better oral hygiene and makes flossing fun. I just wish they will update the technology and make a quoted version. All and all very pleased though.
It needs to be plugged in and unplugged at every use. There is no self charging. It is a bit troublesome when filling the reservoir because you either need a glass to fill with water, or pull the reservoir off and run under the faucet, which can cause the rubber gasket to move and then leak on the sink area. You must be careful how the tub/ reservoir pulls free from the base to prevent this. Overall the function of cleaning between the teeth is very appealing. It is amazing how much gunk gets stuck after meals!

I have a wp-100w and I do not like it. It is 2 months old and the rubber valve in the bottom does not work. Also the button has to be pushed to prevent the water comming out when you turn on the machine. And removing the top everytime you fill the tank is a pain. a flip up lid would be much better.

We are sorry to hear you are having this difficulty. It sounds like the unit just needs to be force primed.
To force the prime: 1. Fill the reservoir with 10 ounces of warm water. 2. Lay the handle in the sink. 3. Use your index finger to depress and release the reservoir valve 3 times. 4. Turn on the unit and again depress and release the reservoir valve 3-5 times until the water begins to flow.
If this does not fix the issue, please contact us. Our number is 1-800-525-2774. Or, email us at smreviews@waterpik.com.

Better improvement from my old waterpik. My old one had the handle with a button that got stuck. So when I saw they changed it to a switch. I upgraded.
I was referred to the product by my dentist, who said, despite the excellent care I give to my teeth, that I was developing early periodontal disease in a few areas. Ugh! I bought the Waterpik and use it about every other day. Once you use it a few times (and squirt yourself in the face or on the mirror), you easily get the hang of it. My teeth feel very clean after using it -- even to the point I have to remind myself to brush. I won't know the full effect of the Waterpik on the troublesome areas until I see my dentist in another six months, but I'm enjoying using it, feel it does its job very well, and look forward to avoiding any advancing gum problems.
